Ivan Roney

Founder/President

Ivan founded Farfield Systems in 2002.  Since then, he has overseen its growth from a single customer in Maryland to serving customers in 5 states plus the District of Columbia. Ivan established Farfield's office Sarasota FL in 2016.  Farfield's business growth included spinning out a Product & PM/Logistics company in 2011 that has had several Prime contracts. Prior to founding Farfield, Ivan learned the business while serving as the Director of Operations with ETP Solutions, a small defense contractor.

 

Prior to joining industry, Ivan served 13 years in the Marine Corps as a Cryptologic Linquist.

Mike Cameron

Chief Executive Officer

Mike joined Farfield Systems in July of 2018. Prior to joining Farfield Systems, Mike held senior leadership positions in various companies, leading Business Development, Operations, and Marketing. Mike’s international experience includes business development in the UK, Estonia, Saudi Arabia, and NATO. Mike is an invited speaker at conferences in the U.S. and abroad.

 

Mike is a Director for the Fort Meade Alliance and an Advisory Council member for The Schiff Group. Previous Board experience includes The McLean Project for the Arts and the Industry Chair of the National Security Scholars Program. Mike is former Chair of the Howard County GovConnects Cyber Conference.

 

Prior to joining industry, Mike served in the U.S. Air Force, for 15 years, as an Electronic Intelligence Analyst. He has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Loyola University of Maryland.

Sharon Roney

Marketing Director

Sharon Roney joined Farfield in 2010 and supported the back office as a Talent Manager/Marketing Specialist. 

 

Prior to that, she worked for Cadmus/Cenveo for 19 years as a publishing system designer. 

 

She has a degree in graphic arts and desktop publishing and attended the Digital Animation & Visual Effects (DAVE) school on the back lot of Universal Studios.

Marcie Bombelyn

Talent Acquisition Manager

Marcie has over 20 years experience in talent acquisition providing massive support to government contractors, staffing agencies and career coaching at prestigious schools.  She provides professional guidance through the recruiting process and enjoys customer interaction.

 

Prior to her staffing career, Marcie held account management and marketing roles to influence the growth of high-technology industry leaders.  She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Radford University.

Chaz Regan

Talent Acquisition

Chaz has 15 years of experience in talent acquisition and talent management. He has recruited at all levels, for companies of all sizes. He is particularly adept at helping candidates find opportunities to take existing skills and experience to the next level. 

Prior to entering industry, Chaz served in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst.

Alena Roney

Office Manager

Alena joined Farfield in 2020 as our Office Manager. She assists with bookkeeping, financial management, and with the administration of HR policies and practices. She is also the focal point for managing the day-to-day administration of the company.

 

Alena graduated in May 2021 with her undergraduate degree in Finance.
